WELCOME TO THE EAST FINCHLEY FESTIVAL 2008
The festival
kicks off at noon with the amazing band, Dhoom Foundation, opening the
proceedings. Live entertainment will continue across two stages until
6pm with a variety of acts from the local community.
The festival is also host to a bevy of other delights. Sample
homemade treats in the Food Marquee and imbibe a selection of ales in
the Beer Tent (all profits going back to the festival, keeping it
free). You can visit over 60 stalls offering everything from herbal
remedies and massages, to gardening and local art, care of the East
Finchley Open.
What’s more, for the youngsters, we have the usual array of
bouncy castles, roundabouts, not to mention the Barnet Adventure Tent
– with activities for 3-5 year olds. And our ever-supportive
local schools will be doing their bit for the festival with many
activities.
This year we say goodbye to one of our longest standing supporters
– Martin School’s headteacher, Maggie Driscoll, who has
always been an enthusiastic contributor to our community. Happy
retirement Maggie!
So come on down with your family and friends and enjoy East
Finchley’s unique blend of music, performance, arts and crafts
– safe in the knowledge that you’ll be mixing with
N2’s finest!
